CEMBUREAU, the European Cement Association (www.cembureau.eu), is determined to make a strong contribution to the European Green Deal by taking action on a wide range of topics, from climate change to biodiversity and air quality. Each and every one of the 200-cement plant in the EU operates in accordance with a permit granted by the authorities in the Member States following the principles and provisions of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and CEMBUREAU supports the ongoing revision.

Having considered the draft report and the amendments tabled by the MEPs in the ENVI Committee, CEMBUREAU would like to share its thoughts and recommendations on a number of issues in relation to the IED revision.
