Todor Kostov is Executive Director and member of the Management Board of Holcim (Bulgaria) AD. He was born in Sofia. He graduated from First English Language School and got his degree from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia with the specialty “Organization and Management of Industry”, major: “Chemistry and Metallurgy”. His career began in 1987 at theCement office of the foreign trade company Stroyimpex. In 1991 he founded his own company – Stroycem OOD, dealing with international cement trade. When the Swiss company of Holderbank (now LafargeHolcim Group) bought the cement plant in Beli Izvor in 1997, Todor Kostov was invited to head the activity of the Group in Bulgaria and since the beginning of 1998 he is Executive Director and member of the Management Board of Holcim (Bulgaria) AD.
Part of the LafargeHolcim Group in Bulgaria are the cement plant in Beli izvor village, Vratsa region, the aggregate producers Holcim Karierni Materiali AD – Sofia, Holcim Karierni Materiali Plovdiv AD and Vris EOOD, concrete plants in Sofia and Plovdiv and Geocycle Bulgaria EOOD, supplying waste materials to be used as alternative fuel in cementproduction.
